On today's episode of Project Daily Drive we are fitting a 12v cigarette lighter to Jean the Morris Minor to allow me to charge electrical devices on the go!

I also had to re-render and re-upload this 4 times as I kept screwing up the edit.

Thanks for the video, you might consider putting the in- line fuse close to the battery to protect the full length of the positive wire. Great project .

I bought a 2008 Fiat Panda Active two years ago and was surprised that there was no factory fitted cigarette lighter socket. I also fitted a socket as a live connection in the glove box so it can be used to charge a phone or battery bank while the engine is switched off. I spliced the positive cable via a fuse into the ignition wiring loom and earthed the negative cable to the metal floor.

Good that you have the positive fused close as possible to the battery! You might enlarge the firewall hole and fit in a rubber grommet or put some byutle putty or electrical tape round wires where they pass through hole in firewall.

Suggest you put a rubber grommet in that hole to prevent the wires chafing on the metal and creating a short circuit and a possible fire, you could put some sleeving round the cables at that point.have a good trip
