Week 5 of AC Joint separation rehab

Note: I did not do this all day long, just a 30 minute gentle climbing session on terrain that is very easy for me, following my physio exercises session. Aside from the intensive month of physiotherapy to get to this stage, it's also worth noting that I was climbing around 8c minimum before the injury. The point of posting is to note what is possible when you pay close attention to all aspects of the rehab picture and prepared to put the work in.

Thanks for posting this vid, it gives hope. Have separated right one 1.5 year ago and left one 4 month ago. Now back to all my sports but strength still limited. Right one was pretty fine at 6 to 8 months...

I had a ac 2-3 injury no surgery required...small bump ...do above and beyond recommendations...kept running with should brace stabilizer..Losing fat weight...mega doses Vit C and daily sauna ..Green tea..no meat....fruits vegetables one serving of rice daily. Icing after and before sauna. Still driving scooter started day 2..no issues.. pain has subsided quite abit can put on shirt clothes no problem since a few days ago. Do you think Ill get back to my daily 100 pushups? I subscribed

That is excellent. How are you doing with bench press/push-ups. I found those very hard after the AC separation.

Hi Dave,
Fellow climber here. Had an accident last week and suffered the same grade 3 ac separation. I'm also opting for the non surgery path, haven't seen an ortho surgeon or PT yet as my injury happened out of state and I just got back home, also I'm trying to get my insurance lined up and it might take a week or so. Do you have any suggestions or advice for me?
I'm feeling sad yet grateful to be alive, I crashed my motorcycle so damage could have been worst easily.

so u had no surgery since then? just got a level 3 two days ago, try to rehab and get back to climbing!
