I will choose the best doctor I can get regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or any other factor not related to what that doctor is doing for me.
Consider what is important, ignore the rest.

I am sure glad that I have found your channel. I have a female urologist, she listens, I am very comfortable with her, she shares your knowledge. Listening to your topics just makes me feel good to the care that I am getting from her. I am waiting for your next topic.

I always try to make sure I get a female doctor, especially my urologist. Just about every male doctor I had was arrogant and seldom gave much thought to how what they were doing affected me.

The video title should read "Why FEMALES should go to a urologist, " like the video description says. Title wording doesn't fit the content.

A few years ago, I was referred to a Urologist for an issue I had back then. He was a "male", who only received a 3-star rating (which should have told me not to bother going to him!). He did nothing but ask tons of questions and did some type of scan, which was ugly-looking on the screen! He couldn't even answer my questions. In conclusion, he handed me a note that said to cut down on coffee, ice tea and soda, which I do drink, but not to excess. No explanation was given as to why I had to cut down! And he had me go for a renal ultrasound, which came out normal. I ended up taking care of the problem I had by myself! So, I don't think I will be going to anymore Urologists any time soon, especially a male one! LOL!

Yeah, I went to see a doctor about overractive bladder and was basically told I'm "too young for such problems" and sent home.

this was really helpful. I have my first appointment next week and I didn't know there was a pelvic exam.

I hope no blood tests are involved in going to a urologist. I’m terrified of being stabbed. I’m actuality phobic of letting anyone touch me. Severe PTSD

I want a Male Urologists and he better have a Male PA or Male Nurse.

When I tell you, I would like to retain some semblance of dignity and would prefer a male nurse do the procedure, do not mock or bully me with “you don’t have anything I haven’t seen”, “we have no modesty here”, or “we’re all professionals here” or anything else along those lines. Of course, you’re comfortable, you’re fully dressed. It’s my comfort and my embarrassment that I’m concerned about.

I had a ectopic pregnancy in dec 2013. Had to have surgery to remove the baby and repair the tube. Since the surgery i have had a lot of pressure and pain on my bladder. I don't have leakage or urgency, just a lot of pressure and can't empty my bladder fully. Any ideas why this has happened? Before i never had any bladder issues.

Given my own Urological issues, I like your channel and have learned a lot from it. I am a 65 year old Male who has had his enlarged prostate addressed (2 surgeries) and am still experiencing nocturia. Urodynamics testing suggest I have issues with my bladder contractility. OAB medicines seem to have little effect so my Urologist is recommending the interStim procedure to see if that will help. Do you have much experience with it with your patients?

Have you found, if using intuition and experience, your able to resolve more issues with a patient than another urologist could? Listening more carefully, etc?

I see that this video is 2 years old. I may need to see a urologist soon. I've had a prostrate check several times over the years. That is weird but it only last less than 30 seconds. Still, I'm serious, I wonder if it would be less weird with a female urologist. I'm in the late 50s. What do you think Dr. Malik ?
