I think D3 should have our same guardian Just in another Galaxy. Introduce ship traversal and space combat. Have combination of all 3 classes. Thunder Golden nova gun. super) (Needles-quall-maul. Super) Havoc-flame silkstrike. Super) Have leveling follow sword Logic.
For every enemy you kill your overall pve hp go’s up until you die. No power cap. Have normal yellow bar enemies have 2 elemental shields and champion stun mechanics. Have entirely new enemy factions. New weapon types above Exotics. Ghost naming and customization.
Highly customizable character models. Built in Coms to
Exo Byf-Ld - scholar. Audio files for lore in game. High quality cinematics. And 25 hour campaign length With high focus on narrative.

If we get half of this I’ll be happy.

Episodes were marketed as some major departure from seasons. I vividly remember in the first final shape showcase them making episodes seem like like mini expansions. Claiming they will "groundbreaking" and that episodes will give them "new ways to tell stories." Yet, we are in act 2 of echoes and guess what the story is? Go to the helm, do a vendor quest, go the hologram, see you next week. NOTHING HAS FUCKING CHANGED. They have timegated timegating and doubled down on the fucking helm bullshit. I would be thrilled if they sent the helm into a black hole at this point. I want my fucking money back.

in terms of annually, with the new 'episodes', you actually get less bright dust, less transmog, basically less rewards overall.. i think it was Houndish who did a video of another guy who actually did the math with time tables, weekly charts, eververse calender, Bungie's new Episodes calender, weekly story rotation, etc.. and we actually lose 20-25% annual content with new 'Episodes' format when compared to previous Seasons format

It is pretty much just seasons but with bigger content draughts in between the actual content. It does seem like they lied about the amount of content there would be in episodes. I think Destiny 3 is necessary at this point, even if we have to start fresh it would be worth it. They could make mew planets, new weapons, new pvp gamemodes, and if the initial beginning drop allowed us to playtest it amd make sure the start was as smooth as possible it could reinvigorate the franchise. Course there are always people that complain but it coukd bring people back where Destiny 2 just can't.

I don't ever agree with Gladd. He always says explosive shit that makes people rally for no actual thought investment because they see big CC and then parrot the idea.

Like the other day, Evan said because the current content schedule is lacking with the gaps, that we were due for at least the announcement of a reprisal raid so we can have hope for more content, but then Gladd took that discussion as a means of saying that they only do reprisal raids ONLY for the sake of nostalgia. Bungie has already made it a point that they are releasing the old raids because of content preservation as well as relevance to the story. PC players don't want to go back to the moments in D1 because they would then have to go buy outdated, likely to malfunction consoles, the Destiny 1 collection, a subscription to PSN/Xbox Live, play at sub 30FPS, 75 FOV, and find enough players willing to actually do that content. But Gladd said that Bungie only does it out of nostalgia and the only reason why people will do it is because of raid race reprisal and nobody should be going after old glory. I'm honestly sick of Gladd's shitty takes because he harbors a lot of the community's worst fans who would rather complain than give actual criticism with feasible ideas. Like how is brining back old content FOR FREE and making it universally playable again a bad thing. So many PC players missed out on Destiny 1 experiences, but IDK why he was so against it

Yeah Episodes are quite similar to seasons so far but at least bungie is trying something new, everytime people get upset with these game they just use the Destiny 3 card, like starting from zero to get the same weapons and going thru similar stories from scratch would make a difference is just re selling wad we already have.

Episode storytelling suks but actually we get more stuff to get: more seasonal weapons, more seasonal pass rewards, more seasonal activities, more seasonal challenges so more bright dust, more cosmetics, and an important content drop every 6 weeks, so that is good, but the main quest ... Literally act 1 was miserable in the confrontation of the act 2, you could literally skip act 1 (u can't, u need to complete act 1 to continue with act 2 obviously, is a story) and understand the story better with act 2... All that we've done in act 1 was useless ... And the act 1 cutscenes are re proposed in act 2. So the main problem of episodes for now is the storytelling

All Bungie has presented to me so far is that for the same money I get a similar amount of content as in a season for 1 month longer. So bottom line, less content (since there are now only 3 episodes instead of 4 seasons per year) spread out over the year, for the same price. Timegating has also been renamed to Acts 1, 2 and 3.

Serious question. What is the difference between seasons and episodes? In the video he said they are different, but what exactly is the difference, aside from the different name?

Longer seasons are nice because you get to use viable builds with artifact mods for longer, tell me how you make seasons longer and keep 4 per year.

people need to stop thinking the transition is gonna happen overnight. there probably wont be the differences truly made for another year, this is just the start of the segway into sepisodes. of course early episodes are gonna be like seasons cuz this is literally the first episode to exist after years of seasons

Episodes is helping Bungie to manage content consumption. Hardcore players have to keep waiting for the new episode to unlock (time gated). I am a solo occasional player so I always have more content than I can consume.

4 friends of mine + me, believe that it's the best expansion with better season model. Also time-gating seems good, solving the issue of completing everything in the first 3 weeks and then get bored for 2, 5+ months. The ONLY thing we feel scammed is the lack of servers in the pvp part of the game xD

I agree with Glad on 100% what he said. Destiny 2 is fundamentally badly designed for a looter shooter... Reason is every new content is played a lot at first but dies quickly because there is no value proposed from that new content except new weapons which are rarely that exciting.

I think main reason I’d want a destiny 3 is to see how out there the developers could go. Feels too much of the same and the weapons are looking cool but there’s 5 others of the same archetype so it’s hard to get excited about them.
