I'm a game developer and was dumbfounded when I found out that this group of people was invited to GDC, the biggest conference for game developers. In the old days, people went there to share game-developing experiences, techniques, and technology that helped to improve game-development skills. I don't see why this topic was relevant to us developers. What is the problem it tries to solve? And what kind of attitude was that? If we don't listen to their demands, they will threaten us, really? That's downright extortion. Why the organizer allowed this group of people to speak there is beyond me.
