Fixing the Sims 4 Lovestruck by making changes to the world, gameplay and mods!

The mod I used is called "Improved Social Compatibility + Physical Features replacement addon for Turn-Ons" by Down In Simsland on Tumblr.

Having sims be attracted to outfit color was... a choice. Like imagine being like "I was really in to you yesterday and I thought we had something good going because you were wearing a red shirt but now you're wearing a black shirt and I want nothing to do with you" lol. Like imagine thinking that is somehow less shallow than being in to someone because they're buff or fat or whatever.

Be careful when you accept the stramy dynamic. My sims cannot sleep the whole night, always waking up every few hour to "think about partner" and I have the sleep all night mod.

There are sim 'bases' on the gallery. Basically just hot looking sims for people who don't wanna make the face themselves and just wanna dress the sim up, I think that's why you are seeing these bare sims on the cupid app. They don't have custom content on them, they were just posted like that.

i'm surprised they included the hair color preference and age as a filter in the dating app but not the rest of physical features. if someone wanted their sim to be 'inclusive' or whatever they could put all physical features as turn-ons or have them not set at all

My husband had a red shirt on yesterday. So I’ve filed for divorce he knows red shirts are a massive turn off for me and he still wore it.

I’m so happy the sims has finally added this very important feature to the game for the reasonable price of £34.99, I can now make myself in sims.

I think "outfit colour" would have been better as "outfit style/fashion." Cause it's more realistic to be unattracted to certain aesthetics or fashion choices

All I want this pack for, is the world. I know its not that great but I love to have all the worlds to create my own stories. I really wish they would have a DLC where you could just purchase a world for like, $2 or something. That would make me happy.

As a therapist, the therapy piece is so bad. I sent my couple to therapy and they had a good relationship and it made them fight more and my sim become terrified of being left and the fear wouldn’t leave and kept making their romance bar go down. 😆 Talk about therapy making it worse! The therapist needs to be fired! 😅

Physical attraction to another person is built into our DNA…it doesn’t mean that people are only attracted to tall, slender, beautiful perfect people, we are attracted to all sorts of people that don’t fit stereotypes. I don’t know why everyone spazzes out about that! It doesn’t have to be taken as shaming people of any looks…there are lids for all the pots, you know?

I don't think it's shallow to be attracted to a certain body type. Turn ons are a physical response that you can't control. It doesn't mean you won't date someone who doesn't match your turn ons. It just means it's easier. You could be turned on by someone and then find out they're incompatible due to traits. A shallow person would follow their turn ons explicitly and refuse to even meet someone who wasn't their ideal body type. Preferences don't make you shallow. Your actions based on them make you shallow. You can role play a shallow person without having a specific turn on/off for body type. Personally, I think it was just more complicated to code, so they were lazy. This mod actually makes a lot of sense. I'm going to add it to the mods I use. 😁

People saying that "having physical appearance be a judge on if you'd 'woohoo' or be in a relationship with someone" need some serious exposure to reality. Like, okay, YES if the ONLY JUDGE you have for a relationship is their body, that's shallow, if you're going to completely ignore someone's personality for a trait like *ahem* size, that's shallow. But obviously for a lot of people "woohoo" is a big part of a relationship and so obviously you'd want that partner to look good too. It's basic stuff and it's okay. And guess what? If you don't like that, turn it off. What if I WANT to make a shallow, superficial, gold digger sim? What if I want to have a story of an ace sim? How is it any different from the options we currently have? Like clothing color, wealth, intelligence? How is "I like my partners athletic" any worse than "I want my partner to be a genius" or "I want my partner to be rich"? or "I only date blonds"


For buildings? As I understand it: Maxis gives a very tight budget and limitation so they always look barren and unfinished mainly for consoles... Also complaining about the skylight, saying it's fine, then panning down to a room with the fans off center from the seating areas bothered me so much lol. If you have a group of 4 sit in that area then half won't have any air and the other will have a fan right above their backs D:

ppl who don’t think physical attraction is important need to get into a relationship with no physical attraction and see how truly awful it is. I once even convinced myself I was asexual which I now know I’m not🤣 when they want to kiss you and be physically affectionate but you’re grossed out by it and oh lord don’t even get me started on the bedroom stuff🤢 try having sex with someone multiple times a week with 0 attraction and see how that goes for you love😂 genuinely ppl are delusional
