I live in Catalonia, Spain. I have a son with learning disabilities, and here they integrate all children with disabilities into the state system . In each class there is a teacher and a psychologist. Some classes are "special" for the children with disabilities and others the children are in "normal" classes, when this happens they are assisted with a helper. This is all in the state system (and free) and I am so grateful.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve worked with the disabled for years. Being non verbal is not uncommon with these individuals. We incorporated sign language into all segments of the teaching day. From the lunch room, library, school buses, and classrooms. We started with those as young as 2. It opened up their quality of life by being able to communicate. Well done to Gus’s team. I still remember when Trump made fun of that disabled journalist a few years ago, if that is not disgusting I don’t know what is. Making fun and attacking the most vulnerable members of society is the lowest a human could possibly sink, I’m not sure how his supporters can even justify it.
