Park Fire explodes to over 45k acres, forces evacuations in 2 Northern California counties

A fire ignited in Upper Bidwell Park in Chico Wednesday, and had grown to 45,549-acres by early Thursday at 3 a.m. It was 3% contained at last update by Cal Fire.

In response to the dangerously fast-moving fire, evacuation orders and warnings have been issued in both Butte and Tehama counties.
