Park Fire near Chico explodes in size

Evacuations for the Park Fire in California's Butte County have been extended to neighboring Tehama County.

The Sac convention center can house the victims. They have plenty of room and the entire facility is an emergency refuge center.

I live 5 miles as the crow flies from this. at 5pm yesterday it looked like a volcano exploded plume of ash/smoke going in to sky. at 11pm it was a big orange red fire ball in sky. not seen anything like this local since the campfire.

If you live in a CA fire zone listen up: A Wildfire in a town "Lahaina" taught us to:

1. Paint our rooftops "blue" or cover w/ blue tarp. Anything that can be covered in blue should be.

2. Keep your children close.

3. Check weather satellites imagery especially coverage taken at the start of the wild fire and check for laser fire creating flashpoints over a wide area
