I think that your video is misleading and imprecise. You are talking about river otters, but showing images which are clearly of sea otters mixed with river otters.

You're mixing river otters with ocean otters.

Otters are like fishers (cats) and the owl. If you see them... your environment and ecosystem is clean and healthy. Usually you will not see them, they don't want to be seen. If you desire, they are best spotted in the twilight times. They are all quiet, sleek, fast... and they blend with the wood and light.

It is a sport, seeing them.

When I was about Ten years old, I was in Grand Marais Minnesota with my family. I threw a fit because I didn't want any of the food at a fancy restaurant my mom brought our family too, so she kicked me out of the restaurant to fend for myself for a couple hours! The restaurant was located next to a dock on Lake Superior, I was feeling bad about my situation cursing my mom while I was walking up and down the dock. All of a sudden, a river otter came out of nowhere and hung out with me the whole time my family was eating in the restaurant. It's almost like he was trying to cheer me up! I'll never forget my little furry buddy as long as I live.

I absolutely loved your video! It was interesting, noting the differences between the North American river otter, and the Asian small toad otter, that you see in a lot of YouTube videos. I don’t care I just love otters and I’ll watch anything with otters in it. Thank you for doing this”
Blessings.

You are are constnly showing 3 different otter species (sea otters Eurasian otters and Asian short-clawed otters) and almost no North-American river otter, you research should have been better to impress real otter lovers. Appreciate the idea of the vid though.

In the Detroit Lakes, Mn. area I was swimming in a cove and an otter swam up to within a few feet of me, he floated on his back, splashed around and made a noise that sounded like "bye" swam away ... cool animals, but I've heard they can be testy at times as well..

I just saw an otter walking quickly across my backyard. The front of my house is on a busy hwy, the back of my house a a bay. Can't understand why this otter was walking through the yard and not headed to the water?
