It is my dream to visit Mongolia one day. The country looks absolutely beautiful and the language and people are also very interesting. I hope that I will gain a lot of knowledge from visiting such a historic and beautiful place of the world.

Spent 6 months in Mongolia, it is truly a very beautiful country. Anyone who goes there should check out the cultural show in UB city, the throat singing is quite unique and if you have a Mongolian translator with you will learn about the culture and traditions. The downsides are getting a visa is not easy and is expensive, drunks litter the city, driving is worse than China and in the winter UB is very heavily polluted from the coal fired power stations. They still rely on Shamans for their medical care in some places and I would not advise anyone with a medical condition to go as the altitude is very taxing. However I would go back there in a heartbeat and have some great memories particularly of the Naadam festival, a 3 day celebration of wrestling, archery and horse riding. The HR manager one night just got up at a dinner we held and started singing, one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard, and proves it is a land of surprises

You really missed learning the correct name for Chinngis Khan, not Gengis! Mongolians are sensitive to this. BTW Khan is pronounced Haan since the K is not pronounced in this case. Other than that, great video.

Thank you for the great introduction to Mongolia. The only thing to add to it is that Tengerism or Shamanism is the root Faith of Mongols, worshipping the Eternal Sky_The Unknown Essence ; Buddhism was introduced later. Nowadays many religious communities are living in harmony like since Chingis Khaan's time. Best wishes, a Baha'i from Mongolia 🇲🇳🌍
