I drive a 2022 Subaru Forrester in the limited trim I absolutely love the car gets good gas mileage as the all-wheel-drive has plenty room in the inside and I really do love the seating position it doesn’t make me feel cramped inside the quality and the longevity of the vehicle should last for 10 years because that’s how long I plan on keeping the car.

Funny how what they call compact today would have been mid-sized or larger 15+ years ago.

2022 Bronco Sport Outerbanks, here. Drives much smoother than a compact suv should. Also, much better MPG on the highway than listed. Have gotten 31 MPG a few times.

I drive the 2019 Ford Escape Titanium with all the safety features. Back in 2019, this vehicle had the most safety features available. I look at both the RAV 4 and CRV. The Toyota dealer only had basic strip model RAV 4's available. They were not willing to order one. The CRV was not available either but was willing to order it for a hefty fee. Been driving the Escape with no issues or complaints.

I have an 09 Rav4 4x4 right now but if I were buying new I'd test drive that Compass Trailhawk! If the critics hate it I'd likely love it. I'm digging the color and styling on it too. The newly restyled CRV would be a close second.

Forester all day long, not the most modern looking or fuel efficient, but with such inflated prices it’s hard to beat the value for money.

I drive a 2017 Mitsubishi outlander sport 4WD. I put in a aftermarket touchscreen and a backup camera. I brought it in 2022 with 71K. I have 86k on it now.

Word on the street is - and I saw this in a real world MPG video that, the CR-V Hybrid does not commonly reach the fuel economy numbers. I am not sure if other Hybrid nameplates do, either.

I am currently driving a 2017 CRV Touring and love it. Great SUV lots of room and it handles beautifully. It’s nice seeing Honda at the top of the list and I like the new body styling but I can’t figure Honda out why did they take out the rear heated seats and the remote latch to fold down the split bench back seat?? Also still no rear bumper proximity sensors … what the hell Honda do you not listen to your customers. We are looking to trade in our 2017 but not for another year or so. Not sure which way we are going to go but it may be Korean this time. Love Honda as I rode trail and street bikes from this manufacturer but they need to get the next release of the CRV a bit better.

If I were to trade vehicles every three or four years, I would like the Kia turbo. But I keep a vehicle until the cost of upkeep becomes like a car payment, so I now drive a 2022 Toyota RAV4 XLE Hybrid. I plan to keep this vehicle for more than ten years.

Daughter has a 2018 Jeep Compass and 0 problems with almost 90k miles. Regular oil and filter changes and preventive maintenance should be all you need to do to keep the vehicle on the road.

I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee that hasn’t given me any problems and was thinking in the future to down size to a Jeep Compass. I was surprised by the low ranking. Going to have to rethink this.

I wanted a 2023 cx5 carbon edition, but dealer would'nt give me good tradein. so I still have 2013 Escape Se AWD with just 57, 000 miles. Im know they are supposed to be bad, but no issues at all with trans or the 2.0l

I have the 2023 Kia Sportage X-Pro. I love it. I’m happy where it placed on the list, it’s respectable 👍🏾

So Dave is this your list or Car and Drivers? Would you personally recommend to a family member the Tiguan, Sportage, or Tuscon. I think I remember you recommending staying away from Hyundai and Kia products at this time.
