Those “little gifts” can sometimes become a real danger. No joke, a rogue thread can get wrapped tightly around a baby’s toe and cut off circulation. So definitely check carefully to avoid problems.

And they grow up fast. I was just thinking about my youngest daughter. Once she was a little girl and I was wondering what she would be when she grew up. Now she’s 30 something and lives in Australia. She’s a marine biologist 😀. I sure miss her sometimes.

I can add a few more, once they start walking, if their sleep is incomplete then they tend to fall very often, also, one of the other cues that they give when they are sleepy is, they will bite you, specially on the thigh (most painful bite )… it will take longer to put them to sleep if they are over exhausted…

Please make sure to also check your babies toes for tiny small hairs that can wrap around and get stuck both of my babies had this to happen and my son had this to happen and it wrapped around so tightly that his toe was blood red and he was in pain I felt terrible because I have no idea how long it was there luckily the hospital got the hair off of him before something bad happened. Just thought I’d share this with you. 😊

I m so happy that you mentioned about all the snuggles and hugs as I had a huge fight with my in laws about the same. I yelled n said after them complaining million times that when he's gonna be a big boy, independent and doesn't need hugs, I won't force him to be picked up and cradle him. So proud of you guys❤

My grandmother had 10 kids, 4 in tibet and 6 when she came into exile in India in 1960s. She has this harrowing tale of how she gave birth to one of my uncles behind a rock, wrapped him up, placed him in her back-basket and then continued to haul rocks for building roads in Manali ( India ), because it was daily wage job and she couldn’t lose out on her spot. And here I am complaining about the rain ruining my dinner plans!

So true. Great points! During the 9 months of pregnancy something happens to the mom and dad, they just know what to do when the baby arrives. ❤ so any advice from people is not always sound advice.
