4.4? That's nothing for LA. Why are people freaking out?

I’m glad everyone is safe right now and I’ll pray for their continued safety!

Here in Christchurch, New Zealand, we don't get out of bed for anything less than a 6.0.

It was def one of the strongest I've felt. I was surprised there were no aftershocks which makes me wonder if it's actually a prequake to a bigger quake.

4.4 it is small one but just in case be prepared, I am from Peru we get to used to earthquakes and when I was in Chile the people dont even pay atention to the small ones, just be prepare.

Just found out last night that LA is hosting the Summer Olympics in 2028. I sure hope Planet Earth behaves itself during that time!

Earthquakes often occur here in California. But the jolt from this one did hit harder here in LA, which is why I think the media is covering it. My dog for sure hurried on over to us in a panic this time.

The worst part is the aftershocks. You’re just waiting for the next one and can’t get on with your life. Once you do, another aftershock comes along.

There were actually several earthquakes recently before this one. You just did not feel them. And there have already been 8 aftershocks, that very few have felt.

I rememeber those days living in Simi Valley, California when we got the 6.0 earthquake. It sounded like train and it shook our building. Scary stuff. Stay safe!

Earthquakes have got to be one of the scariest of natural phenomenons. When they begin, you just have no idea how strong or how long they will be. I was in the middle of the 7.0 earthquake in Alaska a few years ago. Houses fell off their foundations. And the aftershocks were pretty strong too; they start off sounding like a roaring Mac truck. 4.4 does not seem to be that big a quake, we had aftershocks about that that is not a prelude to a bigger one....

This one was a bump. The big one is long overdue.

Felt it in Alhambra, was in target, light fixtures outside fell off the building, and some stuff off shelves, scary one and ran outside

Maybe it’s a wake up call to clean Up Skid Row 😅

As a person who lived in Chile for many years... 4.4 is really nothing and earthquake prone California shouldn't even freak out.

Now watch some movies to calm down - "2012" and "The Day After Tomorrow" 😊

I live in the Valley. Just a small, quick, shake. This is nothing for long time residents like me (I was in Northridge in 1994). Calm down!

If an earthquake is under 6.0 honestly I rather keep sleeping
