Thousands of people are cleaning up their Northern California communities after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake rattled the region, damaging structures and knocking out power lines. NBC’s Miguel Almaguer reports for TODAY.

This is a foreshock, I hope everyone is prepared. Dutchsinse who has a a very accurate earthquake forecasting system, pointed out the 300 km deep quake that occurred directly beneath SF so this was expected. But I am certain something is on the horizon.

I just laid there and said "Here we go again" if I get crushed and die I might as well be in bed. Seriously though a few years ago I was living in a 3 story apartment building built in the 1920s in Eureka and we had something like a 5. and that is not a fun building to be in when the shaking starts. I was on the top floor. But the funny things is the building has endured thousand of quakes of all magnitudes.
