Architects are by default highly praised, while all their mistakes are corrected and all they drawings turned into reality by structural engineers. All heavy duty work is done by SEs too. And yet, we are still marginalized. I teach structural engineering courses at university, and am perplexed how little our colleagues from different departments understand about our importance for society and humanity. I try to motivate my students to fight for their rightful place and to educate people about our profession. Thank you Mr. Habibullah! 👑

Nobody cares about structural engineering. Worked 5 years as a structural engineer got about 50 k a year. Now I am a software engineer and earn 80 k a year.
I think the main reason is that it's to easy and relies so much an expensive software like abaqus.
