I love being creative and hands on construction. My fantastic with building bridges and buildings and are studying the fundamentals field of engineering right now, it is complex and you must be mathematical strong or else forget it, you can’t avoid that most important part. Good luck to all the future inventors and hats off to all engineers.

I am now doubting myself that's why I'm here. I'm 3rd yr this opening. And when I read the review books i realized my knowledge was not enough and I can't understand most of it. Can I still be? 😭

To gain a basic understanding of civil engineering, one must learn the following key areas:

1. **Materials Science**: Understanding the properties and applications of construction materials like concrete, steel, and asphalt.

2. **Structural Analysis**: Knowledge of how structures support loads and resist forces.

3. **Surveying**: Techniques for measuring land and mapping out construction sites.

4. **Geotechnics**: Study of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

5. **Hydraulics and Hydrology**: Understanding fluid mechanics and water resource management.

6. **Transportation Engineering**: Design and maintenance of transportation systems like roads, bridges, and tunnels.

7. **Construction Management**: Principles of project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.

8. **Environmental Engineering**: Focus on sustainable design and managing the impact of construction on the environment.

These areas form the foundation of civil engineering and are essential for anyone pursuing a career in the field.
