That’s how I do it! Started working in kitchens when I was 12/13 years old. Now I run my own place and my kitchen staff is reminded every shift that we are all a team. Nobody is above anybody.
As far as home life, I know that before my daughter was born, I’d only clean once a day. My wife and I weren’t ever really home to make messes. Now, we do light cleaning a few times a day, then deep cleaning after our daughter goes to bed. It’s a lot easier to do it at that time, our toddler terrorist is very demanding and will want to “help” with cleaning but just makes more messes so lol

What an encouraging story for young people or others who are trying to break into a new field! It was saddening that the McDonald's manager was not understanding about your minor delay that was due to unforeseeable circumstances. However, one of my favorite stories is when people miss out on an opportunity for which they were pining only to end up with an even better opportunity. McDonald's loss was Tony Roma's gain, and Tony Roma's sounds like it was a much better position. So glad to see how successful you've become!

That's the thing about true home cooking. When everything is from scratch, unless you got a dishwasher by your side, you can wash as you go, but when you get in the thick of it, you just got to let it pile up and hit it later😂😂😂
