The trick to not getting scammed is not chatting with people you don't know and don't send money to strangers. 🤣🤣

I get the “mistaken” Asian girl messages at least twice a week. Currently stringing one along and texting abuse to another. I’m pretty sure they’re really young men behind these scams.

Good video. One thing they ( the scammers) will do is either randomly contact WhatsApp users ( the "wrong number" thing you are talking about) or they will target men and women on various dating sites them ask them to go on to WhatsApp. They will just be friendly at first, ask about your job, sometimes your income level ( to see if you have a lot of money or not ) ask if you are single or married etc, then tell you how handsome you are or some BS like that. They might ask you about hobbies/interests

Then, usually after a few days or a week the topic of "investment" pops up. The "investments" are crypto, gold, silver, and currency trading scams. Just ignore all these people, block and delete them.

When I’m feeling frisky, I have a response that amuses me and befuddles the scammers. I get the generic message that “mistakes” me for someone else and my reply goes like this:

“She’s dead.
“What do I do?”
“I didn’t means to… I just wanted her to stop yelling…she fell so hard…what do I do?”

That usually ends it and every once in a while I get someone that gets pissed and says something back. Usually obscene.

Ayyyye thank you so much.
Very similar situation rn.
Wrong number, sent me a pretty pic, and started talking to get to know her.
Then I got suspicious cause she kept pressuring me to get into digital currency.
I got suspicious and when I started to respond more slowly they got upset. She got upset when I said I felt uncomfortable getting into digital currency since I have no knowledge on it. Plus she wanted me to purchase $1000 worth while sending screenshots of me doing so which of course is waaaay to suspicious. And looked into it and found out bout these whatsapp scams.
Thanks for this vid. I was skeptical and unsure but now i’m confident to just not respond back

I'm an *actual* girl and I get these text messages. It's hilarious to mess with them. I also get tons of random numbers and I block every single one!

Great video! This scam is also happening on regular mobile phone devices. I had two people attempt this “wrong number” scam by sending a picture of a young woman with the “introduction”. It wouldn’t have worked even if I didn’t know if it was a scam because I’m a straight woman. 😂 Yes I did block the numbers.

Good that you are so clear I thought I knew the person and the fake phone calls all the time. Thanks for Sharing.

Great breakdown sir. I get these regularly and wonder how anyone would proceed with the random conversation, but maybe if someone was exceptionally lonely and naive. There are quite a few lonely naive folks out there so these scammers play the numbers game.

NOTICE: There are scammers who are spamming their so-called "recovery services" in the comment section. Anyone who tries to get you to contact them on Instagram, Telegram, or anywhere, else DON'T FALL FOR IT! Report & FLAG their account! Thank you!
