In this asmr plumbing video I’m showing how to fill a fluxuator with jointing compound paste!

For many years I’ve put jointing compound paste into many different bottles but this has to be the best applicator yet. It allows me to be mess free while getting the paste where I want it on the pipework with very little entering the pipe.

The main reason I use paste on olives or ferrules on compressions is to lubricate the ring so it moulds to the pipe and fitting better giving it a better seal.

Pro tip from a line cook/welder....
You can skip the caulk gun and use a zip lock bag with the corner cut off. To store it put the leftover bag in another bag.🎉

I normally just unscrew the distribution part put the end in the new paste turn upside down then just wind the plunger back, take a little longer but won’t need to be messing with a caulk gun

If you're gonna spoon it in the caulk tube, you might as well just spoon it in the dang flux dispenser . And getting all the plastic bits in the flux from cutting the top off with a reciprocating saw ought to really go over well🤦‍♂️

That’s not flux that’s jointing compound, it’s jetlube.

I install a full heat pump system every week. Including a new unvented cylinder with a buffer tank, bypass and esbe valve, expansion vessel-the works. Brush is best in my book. This plastic fantastic cant do 28mm pipe and is much slower than dipping the brush. Buy a proper velocity plumbers bag and melt a 22mm hole in the lid of a big tub o paste which fits perfectly in one section of bag. Brush fits perfectly in the 22mm hole I melt in with a bit of heated pipe. Flux in next one over, same setup. Just swap the tub lid and brush over once empty. Never need to look for ya paste or flux, its always in the bag, on ya hop up, next to ya 4 trays of fittings (15, 22, 28, clips spacers and screws in the last one). Happy days. Every plumbing hand tool I use drops into the sturdy deep slots in the bag. No time for gadgets, every tool has to earn its place and justify its weight. Less is more, faster and better organised.
