Super helpful! I just got my MacBook Air a few days ago and was so disappointed I'd not be able to play my games on my new big display since so many of my games apparently aren't available for Mac (I had no idea, this is my first Mac in like decades). Each time I try, it says that steam is unavailable for the steam deck and sometimes it won’t even pop up that the steam deck is on? Not sure what to do

Also I've noticed it's not recharging when it's wired, is that possible to do? I know you can charge it by plugging it C to C with some monitors

Looks great! I did the same on my iPad. It works but after 2-3 min of playing.. my iPad is losing the connection.. i dont understand why 😭

i tried without cables through steamlink on my mac, quality is terrible and very lagy, same with my steamdeck docked to the tv via the official docking station..

Is not possible to turn the steam deck screen off when playing on the mac? And for me, the highest resolution I was able to set on the macbook is 1280x800 that is the steam deck resolution, instead of the native macbook resolution that in my case is 3024 x 1964...

I just saw another video that shows that steam os can create a network connection over usb-c to usb-c. You might wanna try that!
