Missing 411 is a profile of seemingly unconnected missing persons cases in national parks and forests systems. It's been estimated that over 1,600 people have vanished in our national parks. The following three cases were disappearances that occurred in the North Cascades National Park; Rachel Lakoduk, Tom Simonseth, and Ritchie Collins have mysteriously disappeared.

The Missing 411 profile is a series of characteristics shared by seemingly unconnected disappearances. David Paulides, a former law enforcement officer and investigative journalist, formulated the Missing 411 profile in the 1990s. The Missing 411 has been featured on Coast to Coast AM and Art Bell's Midnight in the Desert.
Missing 411: National Park Disappearances Volume 3 will disappearances that occurred in the North Cascades National Park. The three cases that will be examined are those of Rachel Lakoduk, Tom Simsoneth, and Ritchie Collins.
Rachel Lakoduk was a 28 year old from Moses Lake, Washington. She drove her white Jeep Cherokee to the Hidden Lake Trail in the Cascades National Park. She planned to spend the night at the Hidden Lake Lookout Cabin, but she never arrived. Lakoduk's remains were discovered on August 14th, 2021, her sleeping pad and backpack were discovered under a tree, three hard miles away from the road and well off the trail. The results of the autopsy have yet to be released.
Tom Simonseth disappeared from the same Hidden Lake Trail in May of 2021. He had previously hiked the area on multiple occasions, and he began the trail again, less than a year of Lakoduk's disappearance. On July 29th 2021, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Helicopter Team recovered remains that are thought to be those of Simonseth; however, identification is still pending.
Ritchie Collins disappeared in April 2019. Detectives discovered his vehicle at the Colonial Creek Campground in the North Cascades National Park on April 30, 2019 after receiving a report from national park service rangers that a vehicle had been parked in the area for several weeks. They found his car key on the roof of the vehicle, but Collins was nowhere in sight. His daughter investigated his home and discovered over 30 firearms were missing. The partial remains of Ritchie Collins were discovered in September of 2021.
