The Missing 411 profile is a series of characteristics shared by seemingly unconnected disappearances. David Paulides, a former law enforcement officer and investigative journalist, formulated the Missing 411 profile in the 1990s. The Missing 411 has been featured on Coast to Coast AM and Art Bell's Midnight in the Desert.

Missing 411: National Park Disappearances Volume 3 will disappearances that occurred in the North Cascades National Park. The three cases that will be examined are those of Rachel Lakoduk, Tom Simsoneth, and Ritchie Collins.

Rachel Lakoduk was a 28 year old from Moses Lake, Washington. She drove her white Jeep Cherokee to the Hidden Lake Trail in the Cascades National Park. She planned to spend the night at the Hidden Lake Lookout Cabin, but she never arrived. Lakoduk's remains were discovered on August 14th, 2021, her sleeping pad and backpack were discovered under a tree, three hard miles away from the road and well off the trail. The results of the autopsy have yet to be released.

Tom Simonseth disappeared from the same Hidden Lake Trail in May of 2021. He had previously hiked the area on multiple occasions, and he began the trail again, less than a year of Lakoduk's disappearance. On July 29th 2021, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Helicopter Team recovered remains that are thought to be those of Simonseth; however, identification is still pending.

Ritchie Collins disappeared in April 2019. Detectives discovered his vehicle at the Colonial Creek Campground in the North Cascades National Park on April 30, 2019 after receiving a report from national park service rangers that a vehicle had been parked in the area for several weeks. They found his car key on the roof of the vehicle, but Collins was nowhere in sight. His daughter investigated his home and discovered over 30 firearms were missing. The partial remains of Ritchie Collins were discovered in September of 2021.

Thank you so much for covering my Dad’s case. He is an Army Veteran & worked for CBP for 10 years. Without his skull, I don’t think they will be able to determine his cause of death. Hopefully his skull is found or a thorough investigation is done… but so far nothing. Rest In Peace, Ritchie Collins 🇺🇸

Great videos, keep up the great work!

I like how you go into what the missing 411 is. So i can send it to a friend to go down the rabbit hole instead of trying to explain it!

Missing 411 Hunted and Mr. Ballen's videos on strange abductions and disappearings are mind benders as well.
Thank God for this guy putting together all this information

It takes some serious arrogance to continue past others who have decided conditions ahead are too poor. I'd be following them back.

I have been binge listening to Steve Stockton's Missing Persons Mysteries, but what I love about your channel is how you tie in the similarities between cases; stuff that David Palides has correlated amongst each missing person

I’m shocked. I had never heard of missing 411 and I’m not even american but I know someone who went missing just like this stories in a natural reserve in my country (Spain). So many coincidences: young athlete, experienced hiker, disappeared from his group in a place that wasn’t dangerous or difficult by any means, his body was found near a lake in a place already searched by police and searchers, no shoes etc. I’m truly shocked.

I’m really glad that I wasn’t aware that the North Cascades NP was considered to be the most dangerous NP while I hiked it for years… in small groups, mostly unarmed… 😬😬😬

Makes you wonder what Lakaduct was thinking when not dressed appropriately and warned of inclement weather up ahead yet she continued on to danger.

First two are no mystery. People ill prepared for hard weather conditions and extreme terrain. It doesn't snow in the Cascades it Blizzards. Mt.Baker which is near this park holds the world record for SNOW! More snow then Everest and K2
