It's good to know that if you ever need to fake your death or disappear and start a new life, American National Parks are a good place for that.

"People are flocking to national parks"

Me watching in 2020: "Yeah, they sure are"

I actually know one of the families whose case was covered in the 411 series. The dad took his autistic son out by Crater Lake for a day trip, the kid ran out behind a tree. Dad immediately took off running for the kid, only lost sight of him for a second. Poor Sammy still hasn’t been found. It’s been at least 15 years.

I’ve worked out in the PNW woods for a couple of summers. I’m well aware how easy it is to get lost and disoriented in the woods, especially for children. And as a true crime fanatic I have to admit that the situation looks suspicious. But I feel for Ken. We have to improve how we handle missing persons cases in national wild lands. I’ve tried to do my own research on this topic and I can’t even say just how aggravating it is to find basic information on any of these cold cases.

At the end of the day, I just hope that people like Sammy will someday find their way home, even if it’s only their remains that make it out of the woods.

"Sadly the truth seems much more mundane" Man, I know right? I really wished there was a serial killer on the loose.

For me the weirdest things is the amount, or lack thereof, of news coverage on missing persons cases, especially of children. It's weird considering the way media circles around tragedy these days.

People forget search dogs are that, dogs. They're still bound to biological and ecological factors like weather and other static background noise scents. They're not 100% perfect pinpoint machines. In the terms of people going missing, people do get lost, especially children. There is no greater power at work coordinating all that across the entire country.

I really love reign's content but there's so much to explore with these cases that she didn't cover that it seems like a really basic debunking attempt. I think it'd be interesting to see more of the nuance and even more information on why David's research might be biased.

Yeah this is one weird conspiracy type story that I am actually interested in. The weird circumstances and the way they find the bodies miles and miles away. Some of them are toddlers found 15-20 miles away from where they went missing. A lot of them have full stomaches when they are found. Like someone was taking care of them.

Maybe Yellowstone is where the Real Area 51 is, and Nevada is just a red herring.

I have read one of Paulides’ books. I do not agree with some of the information portrayed in this video. I understand that people may take their clothes off because of hypothermia, that 1, 600 cases is not a lot relative to the number of annual visitors and that Paulides is a believer of Bigfoot. However, with the aforementioned in mind, there is no denying that a lot of these cases are truly bizarre. It is not easy to explain how a child could climb up steep rock faces that search and rescue teams have difficulty climbing themselves. There are many cases in which the only way to reach a missing person’s body is through rough terrain like steep rock faces. Another bizarre factor is the areas in which people go missing. Paulides outlines clusters in his books where multiple people have gone missing within a certain area and keep in mind almost all of these cases are in national parks where it is very remote. There are only so many ways in which a person can go missing out in the wilderness and remain missing despite the efforts of 100+ person search parties. Furthermore, before I read this book I was completely unaware that Paulides is a believer of Bigfoot, and that remained true after I read the book. Paulides does not hint anywhere in the book anything about Bigfoot or any conspiracy for that matter, he leaves it completely open-ended. If he was trying to do anything with these books, it was definitely to get national parks to keep databases of people that have gone missing in their parks and to get them to spread awareness about the amount of missing people in these parks. This is a noble cause if you ask me. I understand that this video may be targeting the media and internet’s portrayal of David Paulides and Missing 411, which, as the internet always does, has been exaggerated. Missing 411 is the stuff of gold for conspiracy theorists and they often like to ask questions more than they like to receive answers. Paulides says it in his book himself, the main goal he had in writing these books was to spread awareness about the amount of missing people since the national parks won’t do it themselves like they arguably should. I think we should appreciate what Paulides has done because without his efforts, we most likely wouldn’t know anything about the amount of people that have disappeared in state and national parks. What the internet has done with Missing 411 is exaggerated it and that’s no surprise. I have learned from reading this book that I should be cautious when I’m out in the wild and to never leave anyone alone when I’m out in the wild, especially children.

I read somewhere that the map of clusters of missing persons cases seems to directly correspond with a map that surfaced of underground tunnels in the Ultimately, it was implied to be connected to human trafficking, and could explain how people get from one place to another miles apart when it seems impossible due to external conditions.

As always (well, almost) I agree with just about everything you mentioned regarding Missing 411. Except one. This one thing, for me, was the only interesting point of what is claimed by 411, which is the discovery of children's bodies at much greater elevations and distances from where they went missing. In particular, terrain that even adults whom are experienced hikers would have had trouble traversing, and distances that an adult would have had trouble covering. While everything else seems explainable in some way or another, this is the one point that makes Missing 411 such a mystery for me. A wild animal could of course take the children to these locations and drop them off without eating them, but why?

You failed to mention that if someone is taken and killed by a bear or large cat there will be blood or bones or some type of evidence where some of the child disappearances had none of that, I'm not saying there all unexplainable but some are.

its really disappointing how rushed some arguments are and how a lot of the profile points are missed or ignored, I dont know how many books were read if any in the making of this video but theres definitely a lot of critical info to consider.
- missing kids no more than 3-4 years old being found miles up a steep mountain terrain
- people found dead were the cause of death cant be determined by the coroner
- people found in areas previously searched, a lot of times more than once or twice

- missing from city areas and found in unusual circumstances or disapeared under such, were for some reason the police ruled out foul play

- the profiles of the victims which if anything seem unnaturally skewed toward certain racial, age, physical and other demographics and more.
I think these are all thing that need to be considered and investigated. I also dont believe the missing 411 is correct on all matters but one thing thats not included in the books is a theory on what is the reason for the disapearences if anything its just that something unusual is going on weather its human, animal or otherwise its sertain that these people are missing, and the explanation is up to the reader since its apparent that many law enforcement, search and rescue personel which more than most have experience with these situations think that many are cases are extremely hard if not impossible to explain.

This is a bit unexpected from this channel which usually makes what seem to be at the very least well researched topics with a significantly unbiased opinion, where this seems like a shallowly informed viewpoint and rushed conclusions.
Sorry for the long comment but these people area actually missing and and thus this is a matter that should be taken more seriously than most, because regardless of the nature of the cause the actual happening of the disapearences are important at the very least to help other from falling to the same faith.

I was almost one of them. May, 2017, I'm on a solo camping trip at the Judge Branch Campsite at Frozenhead State Park, TN. I hiked to the site and, as I shook out my tent, a completely black shape simply popped up in front of me. I dropped the tent and fell backward, reaching for my knife thinking that a black bear had charged up on me. I stared as it stood there and winked out. It was about 5pm. I was completely disoriented from that point on. It was like my life was being drained from me. I tried to rest, but I just got weaker. I finally, instinctively, felt like I was dying. My mind was failing as fast as my body. The dark thing, whatever it was, was draining me of life. It took me three tries to pack my gear. I had to crawl to the trail. Barely able to walk, I made my way out as it got closer to dark. I could sense that I was being followed...terrible feeling when you can't see what's after you. Just as I was in sight of my car, something hit my pack from behind me. I am 6'-2" and a gym rat. Knocking me down is not so easy. Yet, I nearly dropped from the impact. I kept going. I crossed a stream just before I reached the parking lot. The attacks stopped. I dropped my gear into the trunk with ordinarilly powerful arms that were nearly useless. I made it home. There are things that live between the worlds that prey on us. Later, I researched the area and found a report that hikers found abandoned expensive gear at the same campsite a couple of years before my trip.. The trail had more gear strewn on the path. I hope that guy made it out. I had a gun, knife, machete, bear spray, cell phone, a sonic alarm and I was still defenseless. We are up against something new. I can give the place, time and the details to anyone wants more info. You can rent the campsite yourself and investigate. I later brought friends there for a short day trip. We found odd places on boulders with melted candles and strange figurines placed at the bases of some trees. It gave the impression of someone performing rituals there. It's just a guess, but it's how it felt. Perhaps people did things there to open a door, the wrong door to something else. I still think about the encounter and I'm sure that if I had stayed, I would have been lost. I'm the fish that got off of the hook.

It'd be cool if they made this big radar machine that could send waves through the ground and show if there are any bones in the ground.
