Do you get stuck in English because you’re translating the words in your head as you speak? If so, this one is for you.
As a non-native speaker, you have to think about so many things as you speak, the last thing you need to do is to translate the words in our head. It slows you down, you’re forced to pause a lot more, and in general, it doesn’t make you feel very confident. And when our confidence is compromised, so is our fluency.
In this video I will share with you 5 exercises you can do on your own, every day, that will train you to think in English, speak faster and get stuck less.

I wanna share with you guys what I do to get better on my English pronunciation. I put the subtitles on the videos (I did it in this video) and then I start reading the dialogue. At first it was kinda frustrating because I could keep the rhythm, but now, after month of practice, I can tell you guys, I've been improving my pronunciation, vocabulary, rhythm and intonation. And in some how, I stopped translating on my mind.
I hope this helps you beautiful people.
Saludos Hadar ✌

"Reconcile with the gap between your native tongue and english"
This is the very advice I should remind myself of every time I feel stuck and drained while practicing alone
I promise I'll start to forgive myself and be more generous instead of getting mad at my slow progress as of now

It feels like Hadar is not only an exceptional English coach but also a life-altering psycho therapist guiding those who struggle to turn their weaknesses into their strengths!

I think the first step to overcome translation is to listen a lot in the target language when it is spoken clearly but a normal pace (like in this video). But isn’t it too fast? Well, here is the point: it only appears fast because you are translating everything in your head. Thus listening to speech at a normal pace forces you to learn how to understand speech without translating anything.

Once you can understand the main idea without translating any single word, you can move to the next stage – learning how to think in the studying language, and this video provides very useful tips for that.

Thanks a lot Hadar, it's very important point to get more fluent.
I had this problem in the past because I used to translate from English to my mother tongue but then I started to use monolingual dictionary and it helped me a lot.
And for sure thinking in English as well.
