The absolute irony. Farming the work of a law directory to make your own competition to it, and just straight up copying their homework without any care for the consequences or copyright.

When this goes in front of judges, legal services might be exactly the cases we need setting precedent for these things. Judges can be pretty stupid about music, literature, and art. But legal resources they know well, so they can get straight down to the legal questions

It’s a bit of a shame that the district court can just yap about stuff they aren’t knowledgeable of. In the 23 pages of the mandatorum opinion, there is no mention of the model architecture or the sft method.
