I flashed an usb stick to my 16 years old pentium e5400 pc. It worked directly without problems. Thank you for your Tutorial. I installed tekken 3 for psx and its working fantatic without issues. I didnt think it would be worked nice on this pc. Next stop is ps2 ;) i want to know what this pc capable of.

Really enjoyed this. I have a good PC, but I'm wondering about getting a mini just for emulation that I can easily move from room to room. I'm at a loss though of what specs I'd need and how to start. Have you done something like this? I think I'll be looking at Spectrum, C64, Amiga, old arcade, perhaps PS1. I never had many systems outside of that, so not sure of the value or pushing it too hard. Any advice? I've seen a few other vids, but I don't want to end up with a donkey of a machine that barely works! Thanks again

I usually use Launchbox (Windows), Batocera (USB) and plain Retroarch (Ubuntu). I play mostly NES and SNES games (over 40's gamer here!). My main problema how to manage the save games (not the states), between the 3 systems! Is there any easy way to easily manage the save game between different machines???

I'm on linux mint and Balena etcher wouldn't work with the image, i kept on getting a metadata error, i had to use the dd command in the console, weird i have used balena etcher many times before with linux images .

I'm having a problem on V40 when I open the Main Menu - System Settings - Information.
It freezes for a second or two then reloads all the systems again, Sometimes when I push Information I see the details pop up but freezes then reloads the systems again (Like when you push update gamelists) I tried updating Batocera to a Butterfly version which was available but that made no difference so I reinstalled Stable V40 it's on a Acer Nitro 5 laptop if that's any help...

Will an update from v39 to v40 work good or better make a fresh v40 drive and then copy stuff from userdata. I‘m asking because i‘m scared of:
- Will i loose my „old“ emulators and their settings?
- loose my retroarch settings?
- loose gamesettings and mapping?
- controller setups (wii, wii u)
- yuzu and riyunx all settings, krys, firmware (via flatpack)
- ps2 bios
- rpcs3 settings
- emuststion themes, custom images and music?
- emustation settings and systems
- custom configged shaders

I did this before as you said, but when booting the flash drive, and especially when booting and after the welcome screen, it happened
A black screen appears and does not work. Has this happened to anyone or to you before? Is there a solution? Please reply. Thank you.

So I just ordered a pc with an NVME and no OS. How do i get batter cera onto the nvme so that I can boot directly from there? I don't want to install windows.
