Thanks but if I have a photo that I have added in and would like to have a boarder around that, how can I make the boarder fit the smaller photo rather than the whole screen?

In DaVinci Resolve 18.6 adding border only puts it around the parameter of the canvas and not around a zoom reduced image. :(
Any ideas around this?

Color border only works if your image is set to use full video canvas. If you zoom a photo down like a photograph in your canvas, the border remains around the outer parameter of the video output rather than the image itself. Same in DR 18.6 and now the latest release of DR 19, no change in effect behavior. Looking for alternatives before diving into fusion to build a custom effect.

My issue I’m having is that on a picture there is a transparent area around the picture and the border is around the transparent area. I need it around the picture. How can I fix that?

whenever i put a transition the footage in the border gets smaller and i cant resize it, you know what might be causing it?
