polymoog repair video

I posted this video because i felt was an unusual repair only passive components causing the polymoog square wave not to be in tune with the saw wave or the other way around i dont remember its been awhile since i repaired it. I tried to troubleshoot with the polymoog repair manual but the manual stated that the HFO boards on the divider board could be the problem and it wasn't I just happened to look on the TL board and saw a resistor that was burnt looking and hot to the touch(obvious short) so i checked all caps/ ic's that were connected to the resistor and one ceramic disc cap was shorted out I replaced both resistor and cap and now both 8' footages were in tune. If time permits i will replace all caps on the boards..

a shorted disc capacitor. That is an unusual failure. I can't recall ever coming across a shorted ceramic disc cap. that size. good catch.

Good video! I had the same thing happen on my 280a.

@latasha66 Me too. I only see shorted polarized electrolytic caps, rectifying diodes (no zener though) and ICs
