After hearing the school’s headmaster (James Rebhorn) recommending Charlie’s (Chris O'Donnell) expulsion, Frank (Al Pacino) launches into a passionate speech defending Charlie and the value of integrity.

What’s the movie Scent of a Woman about?
Al Pacino won his first Best Actor Oscar® for his brilliant portrayal of an overbearing, blind retired Lieutenant Colonel who hires a young guardian (Chris O'Donnell) to assist him. It's a heart-wrenching and heartwarming tale of opposites attracting when they embark on a wild weekend trip that will change the lives of both men forever.
Charlie Simms is a student at the Baird School, an exclusive New England preparatory school. In order to afford a plane ticket to visit his family for Christmas, Charlie takes a job consisting in watching Frank, a blind, retired military man. Shortly after Charlie arrives, Frank unexpectedly takes him on a trip to New York City, where the two enjoy the city’s most luxurious places. However, things take a turn for the worse when Frank reveals that he’s planning on killing himself at the end of the trip.
