Why Socialism is WORSE than Communism

Isn't it interesting that when someone criticizes socialism, perhaps by pointing out the abysmal record of the Soviet Union on everything from civil liberties to economic conditions, to the gulags, you are almost bound to have someone enter that chat and confidently exclaim, "You idiot…that was Communism…not socialism!"

The only example of "True Communism/Socialism" was the CHAZ/CHOP which is ironic because it's the perfect argument against Communism/Socialism.

I think of the theories as:
* Communism: There is no private property and the workers own everything... all over the world
* Socialism: The workers may "own" everything, theoretically, but this is an industrial society and someone needs manage resources, work schedules, and all that other tedious stuff. The State volunteers to step in and do all that for you workers. BTW, the State will ultimately "manage" everything... all over the world... (and *I* am the state)
* Fascism: Socialism sounds like a really good idea, but we <pick a nationality> don't like the way you <pick a different nationality> do things. So, we'll be "national" socialists so that our socialism reflects the culture of our nationality... (and *I* am the state)
