Gel stains suck. I’m using one. And it’s difficult to deal with as far as end result.

Hello, I just saw this video yesterday, and was hoping you could show what colour you're using from the yellow can on the right (YOUR LEFT). I'd like to know the brand and name of the darker stain colour you used. I'm actually trying to match a stain as closely as possible to my stair railing at home, and the darker stain you're using on screen looks very close.

I'd like another option in a gel stain, but in that darker colour from the yellow can. I'm trying to match a stair railing, so I can't bring a sample into a business to match.

Sort of a superficial explanation. Applying the thick coat at the end probably left a lot of ppl wondering if you’ve just applied brown paint. This is a subject that deserves and requires considerably more in the way of useful information.

I've discovered that gel stain is infinitely better than liquid for beech.
