Juicing or Blending...The Healthiest for Your BODY! Dr. Mandell

The difference between juicing and blending is what's left out of the process. With juicing, you're essentially removing all fibrous materials, leaving only the liquid of the fruits and vegetables. With blending, you get it all — the pulp and fiber that bulks up the produce.

Why does everything become a battle? Do both!! I juice and blend. If you are juicing or blending, you are probably eating healthier in general.

Blending gives you the entire benefits of fruits and vegetables, including fiber. The Juicer separates and only provides the juice. The fiber assists with the cleansing of the toxic in the colon. I have owned a Blender and a Juicer. The Blender is more superior as one can make cold drinks and hot soups. I have been using the same Vit-A-Mix since the late 1980s.

I think it's based on one's body mechanism. I have been drinking liquid juices and it helped me lose weight, gave me lasting energy, cleared up skin, increased hair growth, improved my cardiovascular health, etc. Just my opinion

I've leaned more toward blending lately, as I find the fiber component in the fruits and vegetables is more important to me as I am getting older and need to stay more regular in my digestive health

I have the answer for you make your juice, then take your pulp and process it thru the blender so it's like apple sauce, then put it in quart jars. Add sparkling water just a bit, it will absorb the water. Now stick it in the fridge. When you want dessert put some in a pretty glass bowl with a big dollop of Greek yogurt . Veggie gelato or fruit gelato ... Or if you don't like veggie for dessert freeze the veggie one for when you make soup. Awesome base for soup. 🤗❤😋

I have a juicer, but I stopped using it because like you said, the high amounts of sugar with no fiber, was causing me to crash, so I bought a neutral Ninja which pulverizes the whole fruit, or vegetable. I use it daily. I use a small apple an orange, a beet, a carrot, , a clove of garlic, and an inch of ginger. I add about 6 ounces of water, blend it, and drink it. I've lowered my blood pressure as a result.

This makes sense as I was an avid juicer for more than 10 years. My skin looked ok from the outside but became extremely thin. I had problems with my liver, gallbladder and blood sugar. I never ever thought that juicing could be the problem. I now focus on nutrient dense foods such as liver and cow huff soup. I'm on the road to recovery by the grace of God. Drinking distilled water up to 3 quarts helped me as well. I eat the whole fruit of or vegetables instead of juicing.

Thanks Doc! Blending is the way to go, why throw away all that fruit and fiber that is so good for you? Using my Cuisinart I add, 1 apple, 1celery stalk, 1 carrot, chunks of beet, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, a pinch black cumin seed, extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, then add 1 cup hot water and let cool a bit then add 1 banana, garlic, lemon juice, cacao, (not cocoa) honey, blend again and WOW! Add all ingredients to taste!

I put an avocado, some cucumber, blueberries, a lemon, celery, broccoli sprouts, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, MCT oil, apple cider vinegar and protein powder in a Ninja blender and there’s breakfast!

If you read up on the Gerson therapy, the purpose of juicing is to provide the beneficial enzymes and nutrients - 13 glasses a day - which otherwise would be physically too much solid food to consume. And this type of therapy is meant to be short term, not a lifelong diet item.

Very informative Dr. Mandell. I was curious about that since it seems there are so many good things in the skin of the fruits and veggies we eat.
