Come with me on an epic journey through time and space, from Earth to a small red dwarf star called Proxima Centauri. The closest star to the Sun. In this experience, you will fly faster than the speed of light out of the solar system, to our neighbouring star, where you will find an exoplanet called Proxima Centauri B. A potentially Earth-like planet that may have the right conditions for liquid water and possibly even life. Here you will observe the mysterious world and find out what we know about it. If you enjoyed this epic flythrough, remember to tap the like button and subscribe!

It is so depressing to think about such a scale of universe where we are struggling to get to mars let alone Interstellar mission 😭

17.3KM per second is 62, 280KM per hour. Voyager 1 is the fastest object, human have ever created yet it would still take 73, 000 years to get to the nearest star system. Proxima Centauri is literally our next door neighbor cosmically. The distances of space is mind boggling. This is why I believe that we have never been visited by ETs in the past. I believe that there is millions to even billions of intelligent life, living in the Universe but the vast distances of the Universe is so great that each one of these intelligent life forms believes they are the only beings in existence.

Props to the cameraman who spent 73, 000 years of his life traveling to Proxima Centauri

We're vacationing there this summer so I figured I'd watch this video and see where all the best tourist spots are.

3:37 Best part of the video! The music, the atmosphere, and the camera angle gives this moment an ethereal and mysterious feeling, just like the exoplanet itself.

The pain is exquisite. So many planets. There’s 100% chance there is life out there. But we’ll never know unless it comes to us first.

Thanks! this meager amount isn't just for this video, but the channel itself. The 4k is tight as well as the content.

Definitely need this for other exoplanets that are believed to be habitable. Perhaps the Trappist planets can be next?

The probability is that there are many habitable worlds in our galaxy alone and countless in the universe. None of us shall live long enough to ever visit one.

You probably should have made it clear for people who don't know that Proxima is a binary system, Proxima A the main component is a main sequence star similar to our sun in size and luminosity, Proxima B is a red dwarf that orbits Proxima A at the distance of about 23 sun to earth distances.
