An iconic mall for decades could now be seized by the city of Columbus.

The city attorney calls the old Eastland Mall unsafe for current renovation crews and school kids nearby.

To date, fines against Eastland Mall owners add up to $200,000 due to city code violations on the property. Owners are still being fined $1,000 per day.

The city is seizing a lot of properties, isn’t it? I wonder what’s with all of these land grabs.

MKSK was given a bond and started suing day one. That 850k is effectively a business loan. They should sue Franklin county tbh, everything is wrong with this situation.
