Special Meeting: City of Columbus Zoning Code Update - Phase 1 Assessment Findings (6pm)
Показать описание
As we work to guide growth and promote equity, the City of Columbus has initiated an assessment of the city’s Zoning Code. Zoning regulates and influences development through standards that guide how land is used, where residential or commercial buildings may be built, and the density of new developments to be constructed. It can be used to help attract new businesses, encourage the construction of new housing, and protect natural resources.
The first phase of the code update effort involved an assessment of the code as it exists today. A nationally recognized consulting team was hired to perform a technical assessment of the code and offer strategies for moving forward. The team drew upon stakeholder interviews, a community survey, and national best practices to thoroughly evaluate the code and its ability to support the expected growth over the next several decades.
This event marks the culmination of the first phase. The consulting team will present their key findings and be available for questions during two presentations on October 20th, at 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. For more information and additional materials, please visit:
