A quick look at how to add megascans trees to Unreal Engine 5 projects. Doesn't seem to be many limitations from my experience so definitely worth adding to your workflow!

Can you enable nanite for these trees?

Would there be a method to reduce the source texture size on these? So not only the cooked ones. A bit tedious for source control

quick question, when you add a huge megascans like the trees or grass, once your done with the game and ready to actually ship it do you need to delete all the unused things from the megascans or will it only use the assets actually used

My trees and grasses are not moving. And also I can't find globle foliage actor. How to fix that problem I am using Ue5?

Could you please make a tutorial on installing and using ACEScg on renderman and IT for blender? Really love your channel by the way 🙂

I keep getting an error (when using this workflow) that the installation failed...that it couldn't copy all the files into the project. Do you have to have UE 4.7 installed in order to add to a UE5 project with the UE 4.7 setting?

Big Thanks!
why epic says it not support Unreal Engine5 yet it could add to a UE5 project as 4.27 version...lol

Any idea how to make the trees not have super dark shadows in the leaves?

For some reason when I add a tree like this it appears gray, like it has no texture…

Do you have any idea why this could be so?

I am guessing that it is not realistic, to have many of these trees as would kill the performance. ( Very pretty, but probably not practical in a large game landscape. )

i did this but placing like 10-15 trees legit kills the game and fps go to 10fps and my pc isn't bad its pretty decent :/

Any idea why I can't add more than one tree pack? Any one of them will work, but trying to add others fails

Thanks for the video. I'm having trouble with imposters when placed using procedural foliage. They look really bad. Sharp edges and colors are really bad. When I manually place the trees by hand imposters are ok. Anyone experienced the same?
