Hurricane Milton Set For Florida

A Category 5 Hurricane, Hurricane Milton, is heading straight for Florida and is expected to strike on Wednesday. It’s the 5th strongest hurricane ever recorded by pressure, and it’s nearing the mathematical limit of what Earth's atmosphere can produce. It’s expected to double in size by Wednesday, and its winds will extend outward 230 miles. A storm surge as high as 15 feet is forecasted for Tampa. The National Hurricane Center says that even if it decreases in category, it could get worse due to its growing size. As of 11pm last night, over 11% of all gas stations in the state were out of gas. Mass evacuations are happening across the state, crowding expressways as officials warn that this is your last day to get out. President Biden says it could be one of the worst storms in 100 years for Florida.
