Kwikset 264 Electronic Deadbolt Installation

Can I use my existing Kwikset dead bolt cylinder instead of the one that comes in the package to avoid either (i) two sets of house keys or (ii) hiring a locksmith to rekey this deadbolt to my existing house key?

Nvm I figured it out. I did it 2 times in a row and it worked and then the third time I did it to fast and it got frustrating. Good helpful video all the way from install up to programming

YO, Phil and I thought about one of these gadgets but I can barely get the door unlocked as it is. It has a self-locking deal that you have to E A S E the knob closed or it'll lock itself and as fumble-brained as I am I better not tax the only remaining brain cell left working with something else to remember. Glad yours is working and have a Jesus weekend. My Sweetie is making beef jerky for the son-in-law but it's out of my radar. Getting more mature is rough. GBWYall!

THANK YOU FOR THIS VID. Followed the Kwikset instructions that were included with the lock, and couldn’t get the lock to accept my code. Followed your instructions: 0000-Kwikset, 0-kwikset, entered my code-kwikset and BOOM! No issues.

My lock is not functioning, I followed the same steps as shown, but after I enter 0 0 0 0, kwikset 0 and kwikset, the lock doesnt goes in and out to get it set
