The all-on-four implant placement technique allows to solve certain situations where for reasons of lack of bone is not possible to place implants without making prior bone grafts.

It is primarily indicated in elderly where their bite force is decreased. The technique involves placing 4 implants in the lower jaw positioned between the mental nerve’s foramen. After that the provisional prosthesis is placed, and a few months later the final prosthesis is made.

In the upper jaw 4 implants are placed distributed between the maxillary sinuses, thus avoiding having to do sinus lifts to address the lack of bone.
