I might use this for rock climbing training. It requires mostly unilateral stength for legs.

Hey Chris! Just wondering if these would be a better movement than barbell step-ups? Which has more of a benefit to increasing your 1-legged vertical jump?

You said that I shouldn't do single leg movements right after the heavy main exercise such as squat or deadlift. So what should my lower body training look like? I usually start with some easy plyometrics, then go to one exercise to go heavy, usually back squat. Then one or two single leg movements (step ups, bulgarian split squats, lunges) and then one or two exercises for a little isolation (hip thrust, trapbar DL, front squats, box deadlift, etc). So should I do whole body everyday? Like one day heavy lower body exercise and then upper body, the next day heavy upper body exericse and single leg movements for lower?

what about using deadlift for explosive because I train at home only got a barbell no squat rack and I suck at power clean
