Hi, I’m Krista! I make math courses to keep you from banging your head against the wall. ;)

Math class was always so frustrating for me. I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half. I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”

Thank you very much! I was getting frustrated with the homework, but this video helped so much.

I am so glad that I found your channel! You make this so much easier to understand than my calc teacher does at Campbell U. I still really, really despise math, but at least I can attempt to not fail my calc test this Friday! Thank you ~~

lol... i totally understand! i hope you kick butt on your test and can get through the rest of the semester so that you can move on to things you actually like!! :) good luck! :)

no, unfortunately you have to go through the rest of those steps and apply chain rule by working from the outside in. you bring the 2 down in front, but you have to take the derivative of cos, so you get -2sin7x. but then chain rule tells you that you still have to multiply by 7, the derivative of 7x.

Thanks for subscribing! :) As for the intro video on my new series.... I assume you are referring to the bad audio? I was just using a bad mic which clearly didn't work very well. :/

@JaysonD9903 You're welcome! Glad to help :)

ah.... now understand. :) I was just messing around and trying different things at that time. I didn't continue with the intro part bc I didn't think it added any value.

There is no secret in math just practice practice practice practice :) I was so confused with chain rule, but with your video tut + practice = ooh yeah, I got this

Krista, but if you changed the square of 2 to the outside, wouldn't that be a completely different term? Cause if you have 7*7 that would be 14, so I got stuck on this one. I'll try to read it in the notes, but I'm still confused as to that displacement of the Square.

@freedomvader345 Awesome! Glad I could help. :)

why did you take the derivative of (1+cos^(2)7x)? Don't you just bring the 2 down, so it would be (1+(2 cos 7x))?

You make the chain rule look easy peasy lemon squeezie!
