Apple Mac Startup Sound/Chime

Since the update to MacOS Big Sur, a new startup sound has been released. This can be found here!

The startup sound used on all the modern Mac computers until the 2016 MacBook (Pro).
Sadly Apple has stopped using this sound since the release of the new MacBook line-up. Rest in peace.

I first heard this sound in the movie WALL-E whenever he charged up, and I just fell in love with it. After that every time I hear my dad's mac reboot I'd do a double take

This reminds me of when I used to use the computer at night when I wasn't supposed to, waking everyone up.
Thanks to macOS Big Sur, I still wake everyone up.

My dad has a MacBook Pro from 2012 which has this sound and it still does. My Mac never actually played the sound, until I updated to Big Sur. I used to have an older Mac back in 2017.

I'm glad I never noticed that I would have missed it until after it was already back lol. I'm just now getting semi-serious about buying a Mac Mini or MacBook but I don't recall ever noticing that the sound was gone and being sad.
