I cannot imagine the horror this man lived through. I’m a veteran and I’ve been to war, but what he endured is nothing like what I saw on the battlefield. He lived through barbarism of the most heinous kind. No one who’s lived through that horror show could ever be the same person they were before it, and that’s why we say Never Again. Some soviet soldiers witnessed human bonfires during liberation of Ukraine and Belorussia. Once read in book that soldiers saw fire from 3-5 km and when they got here they saw thousands of dead civilians burning.
Sad to see that all these horrors of war are part of russian state propaganda to continue war in Ukraine. 😢
