Everybody says they laughed at Beth getting snatched but am I the only one who found it disturbing? It was so fast she didn't even scream. She either died instantly or she didn't even know what was going on until she met her gory end which we didn't even see.

If you pay CLOSE attention to 3:27, you can see Other Lily's shadow in the flash of lightning, she also comes from that room when she sneaks up on Lily. For those who don't believe that Lily couldn't see Beth when she was in the sleep paralysis, pay attention to Beth's silhouette in the sleep paralysis. She makes the same exact movements as in the real deal later. Also, am I the only one who thinks the names fit better when you swap them?

4:23 when beth opens the door to see if lilly is in her room, lilly is not there, but the detail is that her baseball bat is not there either

For anyone confused I think the framing was out of place. Beth was the first to go, her not seeing her sister must be the result from the other lily, tryna lure her into the kitchen. When Lily went down it made sense that the glass was broken and the monster changed into Beth. I think this is because it finally got the power to fully clone Beth, notice how the other Lily is deformed

Rewatching it again, she couldn’t see Lily in her bed while she was having sleep paralysis, but Lily could see her sister looking into the room and then running off

I love how the mirror actually shows her reflection when she passes by it.

I love the subtle detail of the clocks and the nonlinear story telling.

When Beth wakes up and is taken, it’s 3:00am on her digital clock.

When Lily wakes up and goes downstairs, it’s about 3:10am on the kitchen clock. I feel like this was very intentional because he took the time to animate the red seconds hand.

P.s. I love the use the witching hour too. I went to a supposedly haunted school and 3am was always known as the haunting hour when odd things would occur. If you were stuck on guard duty and were posted at 3am, you almost kept your head down because you didn’t want to encounter any of the school’s many boogeymen.
