I made the jig today while I had it on my mind. Had to make it a little smaller since I have a smaller drill press. I do have a mid-size lathe I can use if the stock is too long for my drill press. I got a chuck I can put in the tailstock to hold a drill bit; the bit is stationary while the stock turns. I didn't have the magnets, so I will clamp the vertical jig to the drill press table, as in your website.

Have you checked out the run out of your drill press?
What kind of drill are you using? Is it made for wood metal? Feed and speeds are essential for straight holes. There is something wrong if you need a jig to drill a hole.
Maybe talk to someone that knows how to operate a drill press.
