Chakra is an incredibly simple system, which makes it even funnier that:

1) Kishimoto ignores the rules he made for it basically the entire series, ESPECIALLY at the war arc

2) Writes the main character to have massive chakra reserves cause of his bloodline as well as a freaking demon to give him even MORE chakra. Just so Kishimoto doesn’t have to write around his own system for the majority of his the fights in the series.

slight corrections:
- a person can have an affinity for any of the 5 basic chakra natures or yin or yang release
- Dust release is the *only* example of a kekkei tota shown in the manga/anime. In theory more could exist but none have been shown so far other than dust release
- Yamato's wood release isn't a weaker version of Hashirama's it's just that he doesn't have the same massive pool of chakra to draw from or the chakra control as Hashirama
- Yin and Yang releases are different from Yin-Yang release. A regular person could easily have both yin and yang release and use both of them in a jutsu but the combination is an entirely different beast that allows for reality manipulation and is (mostly) reserved for the Ootsutsuki

In my mind, Hashirama's wood release is SO rare because it isn't a Kekkei Genkai, it's more of a Kekkei Tota. With Water and Earth release and Ying/Yang release. Wood release has been described as "turning Chakra into life" and The Senju we know are really good with healing and strength.

I feel like yin Yang release should be how ninjas use elemental ninjutsu you first have to imagine the nature you want to create with Yin release ie fire and yang release allows you to give life to that element

Addendun: when using the elements, the ninjutsu user may transform their chakra into said element, or fuse their chakra with the environment. This is to say, you can use water jutsus without water, but it's easier to use the surrounding water.

When we saw naruto character doing wierd jutsu like sasuke rinnegan teleportation. We inmediately deduce it is a dojutsu from sasuke rinnegan eyes (somehow the audience know)

But in jujutsu kaisen, everytime a character doing jutsu, we would no understand it until the narrator give explanation

This comparison between chakra mastering and high-level cuisine was both unexpected and perfectly on point. I've always been pissed of by the fact that in late Naruto we barely see hand signs anymore, even for absurdly powerful Justsus. But the idea that great chef are able to cook insane meals with barely no ingredient added a lot of depth to the Naruto world lore.

Even tho Naruto is from the Uzumaki clan, he doesn't inherit anything from the clan, Hagoromo literally said that Naruto is a dunce that didn't inherit Minato's talent nor Kushina's vitality. He doesn't have the destinct red hair that shows the vitality and longevity of the Uzumaki that allows them to prolong their life after experiencing what would be certain death to everyone else, we see Naruto die immediately after Kurama was extracted from him unlike Kushina. Furthermore, the Uzumaki clan don't have large chakra reserves, Kabuto and Kushina never said that the Uzumaki clan were known for large chakra reserves, they were known for their sealing and longevity. They do have large chakra pools compared to ordinary people, but not humongous like the Uchiha clan, which is stated multiple times by Hogoromo, the data books and other varies sources. Hell, Naruto himself stated that the reason why he has a lot of chakra is because of Kurama, nothing more and nothing less. Kishimoto actually drew a chart in the manga chapter showcasing just how large Naruto's chakra pool is compared to Kurama and other jonin shinobis, Kurama dwarfs Naruto, Naruto has slightly larger reserves than jonins.
