Had the same issue. Kept finding the cache clip files .wav.plf which was confusing me because its a different directory than the CAPTURE file with the actual VO files. Found the .wav files there, then drug them into the project and then selected all and "find in media pool." Still had the delete a few that wouldn't link and manually drag back into place. Weird! Thankful files weren't lost.

It was because because I put the audios in a folder and it turned red and I almost died

I desperately need help with resolving this same issue!! I tried doing what you showed here, but unfortunately it didn't work. Please please please somebody help! I'm working on a big project, and many of my audio clips have gone red! And I've done so much clean up and enhancement work on those clips... 😭😭

I have this EXACT SAME ISSUE! But i can't get mine synced again 😭😭
But i do know that it has something to do with that frustrating, god awful One Drive on my pc. It's fucked up all my file organization because of some automatic backup or some shit. If anyone is out there who has faced the same issue, please help me.
