Missing Waveforms in DaVinci Resolve WORKAROUND

This is a quick update on a previous video on how to find missing waveforms in DaVinci Resolve. I know many have us have encountered this strange glitch in DaVinci Resolve.

My workaround is going into the project settings and adjusting my proxy, optimized media, and cache clip settings. You might also want to look at your working folders. I have made a specific folder for cache files on every hard drive I work off of. I think the default is set to a location on your computer, which may not have enough storage. Not sure if this works for everyone, but this is just what has worked for me!

This video didn't give me the exact solution, but it did put me on the right track. Turned out that the SSD I was using for Davinci's cache files was getting maxed out when I was generating optimised media, as those files tend to be huge. Deleting old media files that I no longer used to free up space on that drive did the trick, and restored waveforms in my project. I hope this helps some of you.

Thanks to you, I realized I've the folder containing .gallery and CacheClip to another drive, but I forgot to change the path in the program itself. Doing that solved the issue for me, thank you.

Re-saving did not help directly, but!!!
It helped me to understand the problem. At the end I clicked my
PLAYBACK >
DELETE RENDERED CACHE >
MANAGE CACHE DATA >

and I discovered that one project had 42 GB of cache!!! I clicked "Clear Cache" and reloaded the Da Vinci.. And all worked!! THANK YOU!!

I just ran into this issue, it was because the drive I was using for cache/proxies was 100% full. Once I cleared out some space, things started working properly.
