Thank you for making this video. I got an email from me on my spam folder telling me my device and email has been compromised, talks about a kinky video and asking me to send 1800 USD in bitcoin. I checked my email security and there were no emails sent to my contacts as well, I decided to delete the email and changed my password again just in case. This is really frustrating but scammers are everywhere 😔

I told my family how easy this is. If you really want your email address private you really have to be careful what website you give it to. Read the terms. Nothings foolproof though.

Hi, I don’t see the spoofed email in my sent folder, but I received a reply from the recipient who received the spoofed email. Does this mean my account was hacked, or could the hacker be sending the spoof email from their own mail server?

There are subscription base 3rd party email security add-on that can be used, especially in a business/corporate set up, to block incoming spams and spoofs email. It is definitely necessary so employees are not at risk at getting to spam emails.

However stopping spammers spoofing your email? I guess it is as what teacher Leo said.

Correct me if I am wrong. If we can find out the IP address of the email spoofer, we can collect the Email failed delivery reports and email them to their respective Hosting services to ban their IP addresses until they fixed their weak email account(s) by changing the password, right?

Curious question, what if you got an email from your own email, I know deep down it’s not because it’s not in my sent folder, but I responded to said email and it landed in my own inbox aka the response, so is this spoofing? Thanks
