Good idea. I'm going to try it. The old thin peak design anchors fitted in the holes without that metal thing, but since Peak design have declared them unsafe and have released the new thicker versions, they didn't fit. This trick will solve it.

I just got rid of mine completely and replaced with just the peak design anchor connectors. It was a bit tight getting the parachute cord through the small eyelid. I used some fishing line I was able to pull it through.

Now to figure a way to manage those annoying doors on the side ports. OMG! Im 👌🏾 close to ripping all three of them off haha

Hey dude, awesome hack! I just took mine off entirely as I use either a gimbal or a strap that attaches using the tripod mount on the bottom. As for a video idea, I'd love to see one explaining how to set a custom white balance with the A7iii. I can't seem to get it to register properly to save my life. Just a thought! Take it easy!

I tend to banker both ends of my strap to one side of the camera do you think this could somehow damage it?

Stick the peak design strap holders through the eyelits and bypass the dumb keychain things all together
